Taylor to serve on Task Force

Home > News > Article

Robert Taylor, MD, Medical Director and Fellowship Director of the Center for
Palliative Care at Ohio State, has been chosen to serve on an Ohio Health Care
Coverage and Quality Council task force on "Informed and Activated Patients
and Individuals.”  Created in July 2009 within the Ohio Department of Insurance,
the Council builds on Ohio’s participation in the State Coverage Initiative (SCI)
and the State Quality Improvement Institute, the SCI Report (issued in July 2008)
and the Ohio Health Quality Improvement Plan (issued in June 2009). “The Council
will continue to bring public and private healthcare leaders together with state
legislators to implement strategies for improving the quality and efficiency of
the healthcare system,” says Executive Director Cynthia Burnell.
Taylor says the Council task force that he is serving on will address medical
ethics and care at the end of life, among other issues.
